MediWake

Medication reminders with an active photo confirmation step.

Support

For help, email birdswithapps@gmail.com. Include your iPhone model, iOS version, MediWake version and a description of the issue. Please do not send medication names, health information or confirmation photos.

Using reminders

Create a reminder, add medication names and choose a time. Allow alarm access on iOS 26 or later, or notification access on earlier supported iOS versions. Allow camera access to use photo confirmation.

On iOS 26 or later, follow-up intervals can be 15, 30 or 60 seconds, or a custom interval. On iOS 17–25, follow-up notifications have a minimum interval of 60 seconds after you dismiss a reminder.

If a reminder does not appear, check permissions in MediWake Settings and in iPhone Settings. On iOS 17–25, also check Focus and notification settings.

Photo confirmation and history

Taking a photo completes the confirmation step. The photo is not saved or analyzed. History records the confirmation, not the image. A photo does not verify which medication was taken or whether it was taken.

MediWake is a personal reminder tool. It does not provide medical advice, recommend treatment or guarantee that a reminder is acted on. Always follow your healthcare professional's instructions.

Privacy policy

This policy describes MediWake for iPhone, provided by Jesper Nielsen / Birds With Apps. Contact: birdswithapps@gmail.com.

Reminder data and photos

Medication names, reminder schedules and confirmation history are stored locally on your device. MediWake does not send this information to a Birds With Apps server or include it in advertising requests. The app does not require an account and does not use CloudKit to synchronize reminder data.

Camera access is used only for the active confirmation step. MediWake does not save, analyze or upload confirmation photos. Device backups managed by Apple or by you may include the app's locally stored data, depending on your backup settings.

Advertising and consent

MediWake displays banner ads using Google's AdMob SDK and uses Google's User Messaging Platform for applicable consent and privacy choices. Google may process IP addresses (including approximate location derived from them), device or app identifiers, advertising interactions, product interactions, crash information and performance data to deliver ads, measure performance and prevent fraud. The data processed depends on SDK behavior, consent choices and applicable settings.

MediWake does not supply medication names, reminder schedules, confirmation history or camera content to Google. The app does not request permission to access Apple's advertising identifier through App Tracking Transparency.

Where available, open Settings → Privacy choices in MediWake to review or change your advertising choices. Read Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services for details about Google's processing, retention and international transfers.

Permissions and your choices

You can manage camera and alarm or notification permissions in iPhone Settings. Without the relevant permission, those features cannot work. You can delete individual reminders and clear confirmation history in the app. Deleting the app removes its local app data; backups are managed separately through your device or backup provider.

Support messages

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use this to answer your request and retain correspondence as needed to resolve it and maintain necessary records. Contact us to request access to or deletion of support correspondence. We cannot access or delete reminder data stored only on your device.

Updates

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
